Hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff are excellent. The place has a cool vibe and is very well maintained. Breakfast is included, and it was nice to have access to the tea and coffee 24/7. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room was exceptionally quiet- our room was top floor at the back so I'm sure that helped with the noise. Bathroom was well equipped and the room felt spacious. I would recommend the hotel as a reasonably priced option if you don't mind a bit of a trek to get to lower Manhattan or midtown.

Room was very clean and smelled good, and I was even able to get in early because Carlos was looking out for me. He came to find me upstairs in the dining area and graciously offered me early check-in, even waiving the fee, so I could work in comfort and peace in my room. The room was mostly quiet and very comfortable. We did hear some noisy..."activity" upstairs on the first night but we didn't mind much. It was nice to have a little breakfast as well. I also loved the old photos and the historical aspects.

Opera House Hotel is a lovely, clean hotel in south Bronx. It feels safe, has a lovely breakfast and the rooms and bathrooms were immaculate. This pillows were rather flat but that was the only complaint. While the hotel and the area in front of the hotel are clean and well maintained, the rest of the street/sidewalk in the area had a significant amount of litter and trash. That being said, we always felt very safe coming and going from the train to our hotel regardless of the time of day or night.

The room was huge - like the size of a one bedroom apartment. It was clean and breakfast was charming and well stocked. Staff was very kind, like they took a personal stake in making the hotel feel comfortable. As an aside, my birthday was the day I arrived to the hotel and my family had a surprise gift waiting for me in the room - and they recounted how helpful the hotel staff were to make the gift and surprise happen.

The two men at the front desk that work the over night shift were awesome. I was nervous to leave my car parked on the street they called me as soon as a spot was available in the garage. They were really friendly and accommodating and very willing to help. I know one of them is named Jonathan, unfortunately I don’t remember the other man’s name but they were both awesome!
